People Watching….

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Greetings!

I am off Friday morning to Louisville Kentucky to facilitate a Coaching Institute through Sunday. My part in the institute is helping them to market this new venture.

As an executive coach, I work with individuals to help them realize their goals and objectives. These goals and objectives range from enhancing job performance, image, brand, dress, etiquette to finetuning sales and networking skills. In today’s environment, having a coach is no longer seen as a negative but rather a positive in one’s life.

While I spending time waiting in the airport for the flight, I love to watch people. What a great place to do this! I observe families getting ready for the year’s vacation and already yelling at each other, I often think that trip is going to be fun, ha! There are those who are happy, sad, frustrated, excited, looking for love….the list is endless.

For those of you who are people watchers like myself, where is a great place to observe people and what are some of your best observations? I have used many a story of this type of observation in my training, coaching and speaking engagements.

Please share….

Have a great weekend!

Leadership….Six Skills Necessary in Today’s Environment

Friday, July 20th, 2007

Greetings!

What wonderful responses to my first blog!!! Thank everyone for taking time to share their thoughts. Isn’t it interesting to hear different options and the use of color to portray your image/brand to your market? Some of you responded to my email and I am trying to determine how to post those where everyone call see them and haven’t figured it out. I will keep trying! I will periodically return to colors in a variety of different ways and hope you will respond.

Today I turn my attention to leadership. I will be speaking to over 200 people at a conference in Chicago in mid August on the topic of leadership. That topic is so broad but I have narrowed it down to illustrating the top six skills or traits necessary to be an effective leader in today’s changing environment. I might even refer to them as the “sexy six”, ha! I would appreciate your insight.

My question posed today is what six leadership skills do you feel are necessary in today’s changing environment? If you have time and give me a “why” that would be great!

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

The Launch of Nyda’s Blog

Monday, July 16th, 2007

Greetings!

This is the launch of my interactive Blog! Nyda’s Blog will be sent each Friday before noon. My goal is to gain YOUR insight and comments through a question or statement that will be posed and/or I will share my own approach to a variety of things and again, ask for your comments. You will be able to see everyone’s comments which should be very interesting.

As you know, image and brand is my area of expertise and color is one of my fascinations. The selection of color is very important as a business determines its corporate concept and “look” or makes the decision to enhance their “look” over time. Either way, first think of your target audience, your product or service and any geographic considerations. How will your selected colors be received by your audience? What if any connection will blue, red, green, silver or gold have on them?

So my question is….What is the connection between the colors that make up your business concept or “look” and your niche or target market?

I look forward to hearing from you.

P. S. If you do not wish to receive Nyda’s Blog, please email me and I will remove your name from my list.
