Cell Phones…Can you hear me now?

Greetings! The cell phone is an invention that represents a love/hate relationship. You love the convenience, the sense of security, and the ability to be “in contact with others”. You hate it because people misuse it!

Can you hear me now?????  Here are my personal pet peeves:

  • Driving slow on a major interstate, or any road for that matter, to the point the driver is oblivious to their surroundings…I call this “driving under the influence of the cell”

  • People talking loudly on a personal conversation so you have no choice but hear it!

  • Holding up a check out counter while they talk, hold the phone to their ear, all while trying to get the credit card out and swipe it in the machine!

  • Cell phones ringing in a meeting or church, and worse yet, they answer it!
  • Talking the entire time during dinner while the other person sits there eating alone. My husband and I were having dinner and observed this happening at a restaurant. The woman sit there eating her dinner, looking around the room hopeful that someone might engage in conversation with her, while he talked the entire time. If that was a first date, it will surely be the last, ha!

  • Walking in an airport talking on a blue ( pink, purple) tooth…while I realize this is more common than not, I find myself engaging in conversation with the person thinking they are talking to me and then I laugh when I realize they are not.

What drives you nuts about the cell phone?
